Tree Walks & Tree Maps

Creating tree walks and tree maps celebrate your trees and create a unique selling point for your customers, provide engagement with your tree collection for your visitors and encourage residents to become involved with the parks and trees in their locality.

Gliffaes Country Hotel

The tree collection at Gliffaes ranges from newly planted trees to veteran oaks of many hundreds of years in age, and includes a number of British and Welsh champion trees. This special treescape inspired a tree walk that became a unique selling point for the hotel and was enjoyed by people who stay in the hotel and those that join in the seasonal walks in the spring and autumn.

Penpont Tree Trail

The Penpont Tree Trail was created to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the house and gardens at Penpont. Through the ages, trees have played a significant role in the history of Penpont and the trail guides you around the gardens, introducing you to the historic landscape and the trees that make it so special.

Milton Road Cemetery

Milton Road Cemetery was designed as an arboretum and cemetery with charming neo-14th century chapels by Mr Charles Davis in 1856.  The Victorian Garden Cemetery had a large collection of native and exotic trees, many of which survive today. Weston-super-Mare Town Council are celebrating this legacy by creating a tree walk and embarking on a tree planting programme to restore and enhance the original collection.
